Webster Crossing is located in the northwest corner of the Township of Springwater. Springwater is situated in the southeast corner of Livingston County in the state of New York. We are our own little village, seperate and apart from the village of Springwater. The village of Springwater is located approximately 3.5 miles south of the village of Webster Crossing. Webster Crossing is located at approximately 42° 40' 8'' N Latitude and 77° 38' 7'' W Longitude. Elevation above sea level is approximately 1400 Feet. As of 1998 we no longer have our own Post Office.

An aerial photo of the village circa 1945. At it's peak Webster Crossing had two general stores, a hardware store,a blacksmith,a tavern with dance hall,a post office, a creamery, a school, a church, at least one mill maybe two, and an inn. There may have been more. This is based upon my research and information.

An aerial photo of the creamery plant circa 1945. You can see the railroad tracks behind the facility. It has long since closed.

Main Street(RT 15) looking south. The church is on the right. It still looks basically the same. My wife and I were married in that church. Circa 1900.

Main Street(Rt 15) looking north. Note the telegraph poles on the right hand side of the road. Further up the road is a horse and buggy. The first two buildings on the left are businesses...long since turned into a home or vacant. Circa 1900.

This picture shows the two businesses mentioned in the above picture. You are looking south in this picture. The first building contained the Post Office. The man standing outside is my great great Uncle Will Johnson. He owned the business. Circa 1900.

Here is another picture of the General merchandise and Post Office. Circa 1900.

This picture shows the train depot that used to be located on the northeast corner at the intersection of Main Street(RT 15) and May Road. Circa 1900.
